Northern Policy Review

Write for us

We welcome thoughtful pitches that help readers understand a public policy question: what a proposal is trying to do, how its design works, how it is put into practice, or what a useful comparison can and cannot show.

What makes a good pitch

Send a focused idea with a clear central question, a brief account of the angle and a note on why it will matter to readers. Strong pitches explain the policy concept in plain language, make room for trade-offs and avoid promising a sweeping verdict where the details are still uncertain.

What we welcome

We consider explainers, comparisons, background pieces, careful critiques and accounts of implementation. A proposal should be distinct from existing coverage and grounded in material that can be checked. Please flag relevant interests and distinguish what is established from what is interpretation.

How to send an idea

Send pitches and proposed contributions through the Contact page, selecting the editorial question option. A concise proposal is enough to start; please do not send confidential material or a complete draft unless requested.
